Analog photography creates excitement. Did the photo succeed? Did the shutter
open? The moment feels more real, it is more than just an image; rather an experience in
itself.
Photography is all about capturing atmosphere for me. One of
the most important ingredients is light. It sets the colors, guides your eyes through the image
and brings it to life.
I form peace in my images by composing a
balance between the subject and its surroundings. Within the frame they
complement each other and embody tranquility.
In my work, I capture the
atmosphere and sense of the moment.
For a photo shoot, that means a
carefully chosen moment and location.
The hourly rate for a personal photoshoot is
€55,- excluding VAT and travel expences. I take the photos for a photo shoot using my digital
camera as standard. If desired, I can combine digital with analog photography. Per roll of film
(36 photos) I charge an additional fee of €25,-.

As part of the minor
Future Mobility Design (TU Delft IDE), I designed a facelift for Rotterdam's tram. The mission
was to bridge the gap between the identity and image of the
city.
This resulted in my vision for an inclusive, inviting character.
My design reflects the dynamic identity of the city, open to innovation and creativity. At the same
time, it represents an inclusive municipality, where everyone feels heard.
To achieve an
open friendly appearance, I designed a new body consisting of two volumes with
round shapes and a large window. I integrated the individual lights into a light strip in the orange
bumper of the tram to avoid the impression of a face. This keeps you from being smiled at when the
tram drives away just in front of you...
During the minor
Future Mobility Design (TU Delft IDE), I worked in a multidisciplinary team to design a
mobility system for the Rotterdam district of Prins Alexander and Ommoord. Based on
research of the area and a future vision of the municipality, we formulated a design statement and
created a user journey to determine what travelers should experience when using the
system.
Our design statement focuses on reconnecting travelers with people and
nature around them. To escape the endless pursuit of speed, efficiency and
digitalization, while taking a slower pace and be grounded in reality.
To match the
experience of all the modalities in the system with eachother and the design statement, we created a
mood board. The individual images for this were put together by me into one harmonious form
collage.
The modality I
designed for the mobility system is a metro. It has several features that connect to the design
statement and form collage.
To encourage social interaction among
travelers, I designed circular seating islands where travelers can sit together and across from each
other. These spots are identified by the stylized wooden tree and a panoramic dome to
connect with the world outside.
The choice of shapes and materials
reflect the form collage. The couches are composed of wavy shapes and the lamp on
the ceiling consists of naturally shaped wooden slats. The rounded shapes in the side panels provide
a unique incidence of light into the metro.
In this
project, I learned a lot about working with people from different technical backgrounds. It
was an insightful process to design a mobility system from scratch and see how the design
improved with each iteration.
